"beginners Luck" A Guide To Web Page/site Design By Rudy A. McCormick, Fri Dec 9th
Ever wonder why the cheapest looking, mostly all text, boringweb sites get all the top rankings? Me Too! So I found out. Asit turns out most search engines have been fooled once or twiceby idiots (or genius's depending on what side of the fence youron) who have placed code in their sites to fool rankers intogiving their site more weight. So they have put measures inplace to stop these people, and in return made "Ranking" more ofa challenge than ever. What is this Magic code that places sitesat the top? PLANNING! Yes, Planning is the best way to get yoursite noticed and ranked. Tips for planning your website for "Rankings" 1. Plan your site around a specific set of keywords or phrases.if your site is about basketball, then your keywords shouldinclude First, then in a phrase. (E.G.Basketball for short people) will get the generalinquirers and for short people will dominate thespecific area that your site really pertains to in the firstplace.
2. Plan every area in
your site to begin with your keywords.Pretty simple, but somewhat hard to swallow for the ego. Siteswith too much text don't look as fancy as sites with images andanimations. Text and keyword placement is crucial, only use yourkeywords in the first part of your particular area, and then donot repeat them. 3. Submit often, this is the most boring part of a webmaster'slife. Having your 150 dollar software submit your sites for youis not as effective as doing it yourself to each engine ordatabase. For some reason some of the data is skewed orsomething, I am not sure why. At least once a month, and someeven suggest once a week, your site must be submitted to eachengine. This is the basic ritual that will get your site noticed, without spending a dime. If you really want to get some hits, try renting a billboard and plaster a picture of a sports figureon it and your web site url. I have been told this works reallywell, although costing much U.S. currency. About the author:Rudy A.
